Hi, I know there's probably another thread like this somewhere which is why I'm asking here. where would I post a query about finding a dance partner in my area?
Ask questions, meet dancers, and be part of the conversation.

however, we have restrictions on free ads for new members...so, again, please read our ad policy before posting^ That would go in the dance ads section, actually... but feel free to put it there
Dancepartner dot com can be good for social or lower level competitive partners. So can attending various social events in your area, or dropping in to classes at other studios.
Above about gold, you'll likely have more success by casting a wider net. Try using Facebook - either your own dance network or the numerous partner search groups - or dancesportinfo dot net. In my experience, this is also the level at which coaches will help you search for a partner by spreading the word through their dance networks.
You can also peruse these older threads for some tips and suggestions:

You'll see in the last one that I whine about my partner search... in 2013... the search is STILL going. So keep at it, because it can take a while.... but people keep telling me that it will happen.
FF just needs to quit wining and move to the US!!!Just kidding
