I was hoping to enlist the forums help in suggesting good dance studios/teachers in the Birmingham, AL area. I'm currently working down here in Birmingham during the week for the next couple of months and would like to take some lesssons while I'm here.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

Fabian Sanchez, Kimberly Richards, Sterling Burroughs.

I'll talk to Mendy tomorrow and find out. I know they have moved around some. Also I'll try to find out if Philip Farley is somewhere in town.

Also: If you decide you'd like to see some different scenery one Friday night, drive up I-65 to Huntsville and join us at Rocket City. From downtown Birmingham, you can drive it in a little less than 90 minutes.

Thanks for checking on this for me Cornutt, I really appreciate it. As for the Friday up in Huntsville, if I ever stay around for a weekend, I'll try to come up and check it out, but I tend to go home every weekend.

I'm informed that Sterling Burroughs is at the Birmingham Ballroom. Link
here. Philip Farley apparently has his own place, Farley's Ballroom, in Tuscaloosa which is about an hour's drive west of Birmingham. I haven't been able to track down Kimberly or Fabian.

Kimberly was at The Atlanta Open. Her listing was "Dancers by Kim" in Birmingham, Alabama.

I don't know if that is actually a place, or just a name she made up for her entries. (I know some other teachers who freelance and have "virtual ballroom" names that they use for comps.)

I can put you in touch with all of them. If you pm me, I'd be glad to help you out. You are very fortunate - B'ham is a good place to be!

There might be a phone listing even if it is a virtual studio.
