Hi!

Could you please tell me how to distinguish the type of the music? I mean, when I listen to a music, how can I know if it is a cha cha, samba, rumba, merenge...?

Could you please tell me the tempo for the several types of ballroom musics? (example: slow, slow, fast... or one, two, three, four...)

Cha cha you hear the 1-2 cha-cha-cha in the beat

Merengue you hear only 1-2,1-2,1-2

foxtrot is slow, slow, quick, quick and slow, quick, quick to start out...

swing/jitterbug is rock(1) step(2), tripple step(3&4) tripple step(5&6)

Am. tango is slow(1-2), slow(3-4), quick(5), quick(6), slow(7-8) for basic step pattern
