Dancesport in the AAU Junior Olympic games?

I caught mention of this event in another thread - I'm curious to know more about how/when dancesport has been included in the AAU Junior Olympic games? Looking at the website it looks like dance of any kind has not been included since 2007, and that seems to be other types of dance, not ballroom.
