Dancing Families

Does anybody here actually dance with members of their family? The impression I have is that everybody is out there dancing, leaving family at home. Hmm. Does anybody dance with relatives at home or take relatives along to the club?

Well I only started dancing recently so the opportunities I've had have been few.

I danced with my cousin when I went to India. I also danced a little at home with one of my first cousins in the US. This year, around x'mas time I'm going to be attending the NJ Goan association dance. I'm pretty sure my cousins will be there and I plan to dance with every single one of them, my aunt, and my sister. Of course 2/3 cousins don't dance, plus my sister belongs to that camp...but that does not make a diffreence to me. I know that I'm going to dance with them. Of course, ballroom is not my forte, so I might need to pay some attention to this soon. Next christmas, 2005, I'm going to India and thsi time I plan to dance with all my cousins (3 female 1st cousins, a couple 3rd cousins), my mom who refuses to dance, my aunt who loves to dance....

So a syou can see most of my relatives, family don't dance. However, as I get better I definitely plan to start having them go out dancing with me.

Does my sister count?

My great grandmother did ballroom dancing but she passed away when I was 11 so I never had the chance to ask her about.
I have tried numerous times to get my brother, father and cousins to learn a dance or 2 all to no avail.
