Dancing in the Moonlight

I had an amazing experience Friday night. Some friends and I went to Zoolights (the Phoenix Zoo decorates the entire park with amazing Christmas lights). We had never been before, so we spent the first half hour or so just walking around in awe of the beautiful lights and music. Then, we just started dancing. There were two guys and two girls, so we just kept switching off and dancing, drawing crowds of people here and there; a few people even approached us to ask about where we took lessons! We danced lindy, waltz, shag, polka, whatever the music called for, in every corner of the park, staying well after the last of the crowds had gone home.

It was an absolutely magical night...the feelings of bliss, inhibition, exhilaration, and delight were indescribable! If only I could re-live that night again and again...

:bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:

Lucky, lucky, lucky!!!! It is nights like these that draws us like moths to the burning flame, the sirens of dance... Sometimes we dash ourselves against the rocks. Sometimes we make it through to paradise. And those times makes it all worthwhile. :)

that sounds great! i'm going to have to go to Zoolights up here and see what kind of dance mischief i can get into. :D

:o Zoos all around the country do this?

From browsing the Internet, it looks like several zoos around the country have Zoolights (or its equivalent). I would definitely recommend an evening there, if possible (I'm still riding on the high from that evening!)
:D :D :D
