Dumb question

It just so happened that I did attend that event. You are right that it was themed. Some of the competitors dressed very well (both men and women) but the majority of them were dressed like hobos at a soup kitchen.
Have you seen what hipsters wear?

Re opening this topic- I always thought fringe pants were awful- then I happened to get a pair of black practice fringe pants- and- OMG! I put them on and immediately felt sassy, fierce and sexy- all the things that were missing in my rhythm dancing. I actually wore them for nightclub dances at my last comp- and I felt amazing- I am baffled- I have always been a 'dress' girl- anytime I can wear a dress as opposed to pants, jeans- I will- then I noted that a couple of really good Pro Am ladies were rocking the fringe pants ensemble- and looked really good. My pro is now all about the fringe pants- and I am seriously thinking about a new rhythm dress- with fringe pants- is this delusional?

I think that if they make you feel amazing (and you have the body for it), go for it. Just be aware that some of the more traditional judges may not appreciate the look.

(Another option is to figure out how to create that feeling no matter what you have on... because that's how you should feel all of the time!!)
