DWTS Season 9 Week 8

What has happened to my favorite show ??? I disliked the gimmicky Latin round, except for Derek and Joanna's paso which I had expected to hate but actually thought it was brilliant (as far as Derek's choreography anyway). Donny's attitude is great and he is a competent dancer, but certainly no stand out. Sadly, no one this season is exceptional.

Kelly really needs to go home. At times, I was embarrassed for her.

Because she's a wet noodle with a bobble problem in Standard, can't stand on her own feet in Latin, has no finish or style especially to her footwork, and in spite of all this seems to think she's the best dancer ever. Her attitude is "little snot".

If the judges lowballed Donny to get voters moving, it worked. I got through once on his line and can't get through again.

Just make think how Joanna is still in competition. It seems that majority of DFers are Anti-Joannas. hahaha......

Danceronice, I agree about Joanna also... except I think the dance community are the only ones who don't find her dancing so wonderful. I think the rest of America (majority non-dancers) really love her... especially after Derek's great choreography/costumes/atmosphere last night... he executed a great politcal strategy to get into the semifinals.
i am afraid Aaron will most likely be going home... :(

Yes. The show is for entertainment. We can expect the quality of dancing in the show as high as one from Blackpool. And the audience who watch the show is not well educated about ballroom dancing in general. So, if we try to watch this show with standard of some educated dancers, it is really painful to watch sometimes. But, with nice looking pro dancers, some celebrities, makeup, and nice customs will attract people to dance world. :p

thanks, Imhere - Lilith is a fantastic name! -- do you know last names or anything else? where did you find the info?

Found their full names.

SANDRA UDIS, SNEJANA PETROVA, JAYMZ TUAILEVA, LILIT AVAQVAN...or something like that.
Jaymz was on Season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance (along with Dmitry, his partner Heidi and Benji) but didn't fully identify himself as a ballroom dancer. He got ripped by Nigel for copying Dmitry's Paso Doble solo when he was up for elimination instead of dancing his own style (jazz/hip hop/ballroom specialist).

Thanks, Imhere & Beto, too - I thought Jaymz spelled like that was the SYTYCD person.

Sandra Udis used to dance w/ Valentin Chmerkovsky.

And Snejana Petrov has, according to dancesportinfo, had 4 ballroom partners, no latin, including Erminio Stefano,

A keen observation. I have a feeling that people are getting tired of looking at the same pros, especially female pros.

I can't answer for anyone else, but I would rather watch Karina pick up trash than watch any of those women in the performance last night dance.
