DWTS7 Week 7 Results (spoilers)

Dave Scott was better than the average Stars of Dance performance. But I didn't get why there were pirate girls in the middle of the magicians.

Safe- Brooke, Warren
So Susan may have been the kiss of death for Cody and Lance.

I also HEART Lionel Richie. And I'm such a child of the 80s because I sooooo love Dancing on the Ceiling.:)

So there was that little thing that the stars would have to dance solo for part of their latin next week. Wonder if that was planned to get rid of Susan if this week didn't? Wonder how much that will effect any of the ones left.

Well, America got it right again this week...Susan got the boot. I think she and Tony may have been a bit relieved about it, too - the commuting from LA to New York seemed to really be taking a toll on their dancing. Plus, Susan seemed to get more and more emotional during the lead-ins each week...I think this will take a much-needed load off her shoulders.

Surprise, surprise...the group paso gets the encore. Not that we couldn't have guessed or anything, from the dancers all being in their group dance costumes and the judges absolutely villifying the group cha cha last night. Something that was surprising, though - they really did pick their own teams. And Susan really did do some not-so-smart picking...shocked that she got the first pick and DIDN'T pick Brooke and Derek. Seemed like it would have been a no-brainer...but hey, I'm not Susan, so I really have no clue.

I absolutely LOVED Dave Scott's performance tonight! Up until now, I haven't been really wowed by any of the Macy Stars of Dance performances - but this one blew me outta the water. The subtlety and detail of some of his moves is just phenomenal - the man can take the tiniest movement and make it visible to an entire ballroom. And the showmanship! Spectacular

Dance Center...dumb, obnoxious, and a waste of time.

Oh Lionel Ritchie...he was actually my very first crush at age 3! Love the new song, loved Edyta & Alec's rumba. I had never seen the lift they did at the end before...and even though I find a lot of lifts to be over-the-top and corny, I liked this one. The group jive/cha-cha (I couldn't really tell what it is) was fun...they finally put Cheryl in a flattering outfit! And holy hair, Maks barely has any! Big departure from the long Fabio locks he used to sport back in his competition days!

Did You Notice...?

*Lionel fidgeting with something in his pocket at the beginning of "Good Morning"?

*Lacey's aggressive jab at Len: "I'll go barefoot all over your face, Len!" She said it with such conviction...yikes!

You young'ums will have to forgive my grampa moment: It was a little shocking to be reminded that Susan was in her 60's during last night's show. Any other season she would have been the token senior citizen. Glad they didn't keep her another week.

I really, REALLY didnt like Maks' haircut.
I'm soooo glad Susan is gone.
Again, the stars of dance performance was not all that they promised it would be. The circus-ey type routine reminded me of Wade Robson's from last season, which I liked sooo much better.

Oh well. At least we get to see Edyta "the sex goddess" (warren's term) dance next week. :D
