I heard on the television this morning, just before leaving for work, that there was a 7.2 earthquake in Japan! I hope our DFers from there, like
Cocodrilo, is okay!???

Don't know what City coco lives in, but . . . here is the rundown:

A major earthquake occurred at 02:46:30 (UTC) on Tuesday, August 16, 2005. The magnitude 7.2 event has been located in NEAR THE EAST COAST OF HONSHU, JAPAN. The hypocentral depth was estimated to be 53 km (33 miles). (This event has been reviewed by a seismologist.)

O.K., this is what i got off msnbc

SENDAI, Japan - A powerful magnitude-7.2 earthquake struck northeastern Japan on Tuesday, injuring at least 62 people, causing power outages and snarling transportation. Skyscrapers shook as far away as Tokyo, 185 miles to the south, when the tremor struck at 11:46 a.m.

The earthquake was powerful enough to sway skyscrapers 185 miles away in Tokyo. And with an estimated magnitude of 7.2, it had the potential to cause catastrophic damage.

But this time, Japan got lucky.

No one died in the quake that rocked a wide swath of northern Japan on Tuesday. The scene of the worst damage was an indoor pool where part of the roof caved in, injuring a couple of dozen swimmers, many of them young children.

Why don't we take an informal bet on how many posts (total) before she visits this thread?

Wow...just noticed I went from being an Aristocrat to a Feudal Lord. What does that get me??? I guess I can thank Coco for this....
