Elvis & Celine on AI

This post isn't dance related but it's technology at it's finest, IMHO and I'm sure there are many geeks and geekettes on this forum. Last night, on American Idol Celine Dion sang a duet with Elvis using some amazing technology. I'm assuming Elvis was a hologram of some sort. Did anyone else see it and what did you think? Here is a video of the duet.

 
Too bad the audience couldn't see Elvis. No such thing as holograms like that my friend... not yet anyway. It was a simple cut and paste from an old Elvis video.
 
I had no idea it was a cut and paste thingy. I just thought it was a look a like. Anyways, I tried donating money, but I could not get through. I tried until I got tired, and gave up even though they said not to give up lol. I just you know had to work today and all lol. But anyways, that's pretty cool technology if that's what happened! Great video by the way! ;)
 
It tells you how much I was paying attention that night since I thought it was a look a like lol. But anyways, Nat King Cole's daughter did something similar once. I htink that she recorded an album using his voice and her voice. I wasn't sure what to make of it. Then she used him in all of her videos too. My sister has the CD. It's not a bad CD. I always liked those kinds of songs. But anyways, this has been done before. But I think that Nat was the first one. Then of course they have the commercials and things like that where they've done it too after her version. It's interesting to say the least. ;)
 
Yes, it's been done before. You see similar technology in movies all the time, Forest Gump comes to mind. But, for some reason, I was really impressed with this one.
