Fantasy Football anyone?

I'm sitting here in my cubicle, and I can overhear 3 different conversations about Fantasy Football right now. Lol!

Just wondering if anyone else cares to admit they play.

I have found it relatively rare to find any overlap between football fanatics and dancers - just wondering about the DF demographic.

(ps - this is American style football for those of you not familiar with it)

tj (going to the championship this weekend - woo hoo!)

Lil hard to play fantasy hockey right now. ;)

Lol - the Denver Post is having 10 yr olds play each other on Playstation and writing that up like it was a real game.

HAHA! THat is PERFECT!

Yeah, it's really a shame, honestly, about the season.

I know that you and I, Bob, would have a blast talking smack about the Wings and the Avs.

Very True!

Look for me in net, when they open the league to scabs~

Lol - in some ways, isn't it already happening? I thought both minor league hockey and a replacement league are operating at the moment...

On a related note, even though I feel bad for Steve Moore and am an Avs fan, I think it's a bit much for Todd Bertuzzi to potentially have to go to jail for his assault on Moore. Crippling his team's chance to advance in the playoffs and his lost salary due to his suspension was a sufficient enough penalty, IMHO.

I don't think there is a penalty severe enough for that offense.

I am jaded by years of fighting in the beer leagues. There is no way to control it, nor stop it. Just watch from the net.

Guys call it "chippy" when they start whacking each other with the stick, and boarding each other.

I guess it is because it is acceptable at the pro level that they think it is acceptable in "over 30" hockey.

Its stupid, and takes away from the game. Betruzzi should be an example, as should every guy who punches someone in a house league. I skate because I love the game, not because I want to prove that I can give or take a punch.

Its all so retarded that it is almost funny when it happens (again). But mostly I get irritated by it, even at the pro level.

I hear ya! I guess what I feel is that while Bertuzzi definitely wanted to hurt Moore, I don't think he intended to end the Moore's career with the (admitted) cheap shot.

Yeah, I understand that..

but drunk drivers never intend to kill anyone by getting behind the wheel. When a guy as big as bertuzzi jumps on someone and starts pummeling them... how can he NOT know he was going to hurt them?

Here in Detroit we (yes, me too) called MaCarty a hero for letting Lemuix have it for his hit on Draper. But it was really the same thing as Bertuzzi, except that nobody got seriously hurt.

But they COULD have.. that is the point.

When I want to fight, I go to kickboxing class. It is perfectly acceptable there. We pummel each other like civilized people

Lol!

I guess the difference between McCarty's incident and Bertuzzi's is that Lemieux saw it coming. Plus he'd been around the league enough to know how to handle himself.

I think besides the punch, a lot of the damage to Moore was when he hit the ice.

Anyway, enough of this morbid subject! :? Lol!

(Happy Holidays!)
