Here's a thought - list at list one thing your thrilled about or admire about the man (father, step-father, person who filled the role of father/dad) in your life.

I'll start, to my step-father - thank you for being there for mom and teaching us about life and hard work, faith and staying the course, honestly always and the importance of laughter and letting go.

To my dad - thank you for your dedication to family, for assisting on a moments notice, for your service to this country.

My Dad is my moral support, even today, when I'm long past grown with a child of my own. There's nothing like a good Dad.

Just talked to my three fave dads -- my own Dad, L, my best guy friend and T, my other best guy friend.


And here's what I realize needs to be said.


Happy Father's Day to all the single moms -- the ones who have to be Mom and Dad. Happy Father's Day to you. May God bless us and give us strength, every one.
