I'm 6'1", 180 lbs, a few months shy of 50, and I've been competing in various combinations of pro/am or am, standard or smooth, for the past sixteen years. I compete for the exercise, the challenge, and the fun of performing; I'm serious about working to improve my dancing, not about needing to win.
I'm currently in the south SF Bay area. There is a good dance scene here with a number of excellent teachers and many competitions either locally or a short flight away, so I would prefer to stay here, but I could entertain the possibility of relocating elsewhere on the west coast under the right circumstances.
I'm primarily looking for a partner who is compatible in attitude, goals, and available time and money. Up to a point, differences in physique and skill are more readily accommodated.
