Firefox 1.0 vs. DF

Firefox 1.0 final on Linux is making a mess of the DF "Active Topics" display - the subjects appear, followed by a block of names/links to last posts, instead of them appearing side by side. This didn't happen in 1.0PR release, so either some layout bug got introduced in the final build, or something changed in DF at the same time (the HTML looks fine to me though).

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks for the feedback, jon. I don't use Firefox, so I never would have known there was a problem. I appreciate it. :)

Hey, it's the wave of the future. Depending on who you ask, market pentration is something like 2-5%, but in any case growing quite a bit.

Here's a screenshot showing the problem.

Intruiging. I saved the active page off locally, including all the CSS, and don't see the layout problem when viewing the local file. This could be a big pain to diagnose.

Any chance the site CSS templates were changed in the last couple of days?

when I clicked to your sample page just now, it looks like Firefox has eaten all of DF's formatting. Is that the problem I was supposed to be seeing? Instead of looking tabular, it looked like lists.

Right. I'm pretty sure it's some sort of CSS issue, but it's hard to diagnose when I can't reproduce it with local files, means I can't try and generate a minimal case to bug report to mozilla.org :-(

When I wrote the code for the Active Topics, I was not very careful with the html, and Internet Explorer is usually pretty forgiving. Anybody want to try to see if they can find the bug(s)? :D

Yes, it looks like Firefox 1.0 is also fine on Windows XP. I guess i need to crank up my Linux box. What distibution are you using? (I'm using Fedora)

I have also received an advisory to upgrade to FF 1.0 because the earlier versions of FireFox contain vulnerabilities to certain Internet Explorer-type attacks.
