I did 6 dances and won 1st place in all 6.
I had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people. That was way more important and memorable than the medals that I received.
I became very inspired by all the people in the higher difficulty categories. They have given me something to aim for and various things to work on. I observed many people and questioned myself on what they were doing that made them look so much more amazing than what I was doing. Their frame / posture / movements / expressions / etc are just on another level. At least now I have an idea of what's out there and where I need to go.
I'm happy with my performance, but I'm definitely eager to get back to work. Always so many things to improve on, but I believe it's also important to enjoy the process.
All the people from the studio gave me awesome support and cheers just as I did the same for them.
If I went into this with fear, worry, and being outcome focused, I wouldn't have had such a great experience (even if I got the same winning results).
Future competitions and struggles are uncertain, but I'll continue doing my best with whatever happens. I can already tell that the higher levels and the other styles will be very challenging.
Thanks again for the advice given here. It will definitely do wonders for my journey moving forward.
It was a wonderful experience and I learned a lot.
