First Time Visitor - Hello!

Hello to everyone this is my first visit to this board :)

I'm originally from New Zealand and now live in San Diego.
I've been dancing Salsa for 1.5 years and dance a New York style on both 1 and 2.
Prior to that I did Martial Arts for 18 years. I would have to say my passion is studying "art" forms and "perfecting" them. I have a long way to go in Salsa compared to where I progressed to as a Martial Artist...

No matter how good I get, I've promised myself I will never say "no" to anyone that asks me to dance. So if we ever meet out there, please ask me for a dance :)

Welcome to df kiwimambo, and I'll definitely will remember to ask you if I wander down your neck of the woods. What martial art style did you invest in for 18 years?

Hiya KiwiMambo, and welcome to the Dance Forums! :D

If you find yourself up at the La Jolla Marriott this Friday or Saturday night please track me down. You can ask for me at the table over by the DJ booth, just ask for Jonathan! :D

Welcome, kiwi! I am in Romania and therefore currently unable to ask you for a dance (I don't even know if you dance with female leaders...) but maybe sometime in the future...

Welcome kiwimambo!!! If I'm ever in your area I will give you a shout and if you're ever in my area....don't hesitate to give a call!! Happy DFing :D :D

Are you 'famous' SD? :notworth:

Welcome KiwiMambo! I dare say that your martial arts training will only add to your salsa dancing and you might find that you pick it up a lot quicker than you think. I think is something to do with agility, being able to stand on one leg, coordination, flexibility, remembering movements, discipline  I could go on, but I won't

Not that I'm aware of Pacion!

That's just been the table that a bunch of my regular salsa friends and I have been based at for over three years now. I wouldn't quite call us a group since there are people in our extended grouping who I've never danced with and who's names I don't even know, but if anyone (other than the instructor) will know me by name, they'll probably be in the vicinity of that table whenever not on the floor.

 Does it have a name plaque in you and your friends honor   There is a restaurant here in Central London, managed by a real lovely American guy. If you are a regular, they put a brass plaque on the wall, by 'your table'
