For the guys: To what lengths would you go to, to save money?

i think excessive smell of any kind is not a very good idea - I have a co-worker in the office who probably pours on 1/2 bottle of cologne every morning! I can smell his cologne proably 10 ft away!

its always been a mystery to me as to what kind of cologne to wear... so i don't use any currently. also i work in an office where smells of any kind are frowned upon.
Is it because of an allergy or something? I know my aunt has severe allergies to most perfumes and colognes. She ends up with hives and breathing difficulties.

what do women like more? sweet? spicy? woodsy?
For me, it depends on the man. I had an ex who used to make me just melt with a woodsy sort of cologne. The man who makes me melt now uses a spicy scent that suits him perfectly.

wear what smells good to you. if that advice doesn't suit you, i suggest you try my favorite new men's cologne out - kenneth cole signature. obsessed with it.

I've worn the last two Kenneth Cole's colognes. (still do occaisionally, but getting a little tired of it now). I tested the new one out a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't sure if I liked it, so didn't end up buying any. I'll check it out again. Hard to sniff test more than 3 or 4 different types before your nose just gets all confused. They usually have a glass of coffee beans to sniff to clense your senses.

Hmm. That's generally a good idea for men (I've never smelt a fresh men's cologne that was too bad) but as always it depends. I've smelt spicy on some men and it was delicious.
Scent is a very weird sense. Be cautious.

Aha so there is something to people talking about ladies stealing their men's smells...;)

men's cologne is formulated to appeal to women, after all. plus lots of women's fragrance is too floral for my taste.

A lot of women smell great in men's fragrances. Some of the perfume manufacturers are now producing "unisex" frangrances. Besides being a matter of taste, it depends on your hormonal/alkaline skin condition which can drastically alter the aroma.(As in my case. I have to try dozens before I can come up with something that 'adjusts' to my body chemistry!)

Agreed. Ew. Too floral makes me want to gag. :? Of course, since I developed a sensitivity to it about ten years ago, I have rarely if ever worn fragrance at all. Wearing fragrance makes me want to gag, too. :?

I remember one time about 3 months ago, I couldn't wear my own perfume for a month. I wanted to throw up. Then all of a sudden I could smell it again.
Weird hormonal stuff? *shrug*
