I don't care if a person is the best, worst, or so-so dancers. I don't care how many turn patterns or shines can be done. I enjoy the music just as much as anyone else and I been around it a very long time. When the movie "Our Latin Thing" came out, I took myself to see it and was amazed to see it not in the streets or in a club but in a theatre. There's more to this music than just dancing. If your in it for the fame then that's lame. I am going to keep loving this music and the people who play the music cause they are the ones that deserve an applause, a thanks, their autograph and respect.

Weepa is an expression used by many musicians and I assume Puerto Ricans ( haven't really heard it anywhere else ), it's like the Mexican 'Orale', a word that really has no meaning but used to bring energy up, or a kinda 'look here', 'this is the way'.

Para que se sepa - let it be known.

Spanish is fun!

lynn "Wepa" has no translation, it's like "hurray!", "Alright!" , "rock on!" for salsa people

"pa que tu lo sepa!", in my bad spanish, "just so you know!"
 
ok, i clearly need to work on my spanish :oops: - but, hey, it wasn't an option when i was in high school - i was stuck taking french.... hmm, makes me wonder if there's any famous french dances around???

i think the content is o.k. but maybe someone might find the subject line a little....too much maybe?? Feels like watching a PG13 movie with a PG13-challenged title (bad analogy, but i crave a movie right now - if there's such thing...)
