I think he meant slate.
Thank you for that interesting history.A very old English word, deriving from taverns, where one could run a " tab". When the debt was paid , they "wiped " the slate clean.
Also, many houses in the past in the UK , had slate tiles (some still do ! ).
Thank you for that interesting history.
Ok, now I'm *really* confused. ;-)抱歉, 我犯一个错误。有时我有太多单词脑袋中。

Ken Richards is on the Presidium - was anyone unhappy about that when he was President of USA Dance?
What I will say is that I think USA Dance is struggling here at home, and I'd really like the President of USA Dance to be focused on our organization and helping us grow - hard to do if his attention is split, no?
So there's a letter circulating now that Mr. Weiss is campaigning for a spot on the WDSF Presidium.
Some people seem unhappy about this.

For me it seems that we have one organization that prevailed and one organization that was pretty much crushed. The end result was we did not get to see the dancers from Europe in the amateur field anymore of course some of those amateurs have now turned Pro but are with the other organization which never comes to the us anymore. Hopefully Glenn Weiss will be successful in building the organization back up and a side benefit will be that we will see the competitors from Europe and Beyond coming to the United States again.I suspect WDSF couples skipping NDCA events has a lot to do with the other politics of all this stuff that has been going on for some time.
It was nice when both organizations cooperated enough that you would see overlapping competitors and judges in both (at the high levels) more often. I haven't seen as much of that lately. I wish everyone would play nice and get along, on both sides ... but I am done holding my breath for that. If it happens, I'd love to be surprised.
