Is DF under a hacker attack? Because the huge message on top of every DF page is telling me it's either a prank or a hacking job. :shock:

It looks scary. And I don't really know what time it is where most mods are so maybe they haven't seen this yet? Or can they not fix it? Meeble...

Hi TE, and thanks for both the public and private heads up.

It does seem like we were, indeed, hacked, but thankfully by a rather benign hacker. I've already emailed David, so hopefully he'll be able to take care of this ASAP when he gets up in the morning (its 5:30am where he is right now).

Unfortunately I don't have the technical skills not to possibly make a bigger hash of things if I was to try rectifying things myself...

Eeek, the quote in this thread is still here. With the creepy chicken. On the upside, at least the hacker left a creepy picture in colors that were somewhat complimentary to the forum's color scheme!

I made some changes. We just have a little more stuff to do to make sure everything is secure again. Rather not get into details of what we did, for our own protection.

I've been getting virus warning on my computer for the last 3 hours.. this never happened before. I am wondering if it could be connected to this? Anyone else having problems?
