Interesting fusion between tango and zouk. I heard swouk = WCS + Zouk. What should they call it tanouk?
Ask questions, meet dancers, and be part of the conversation.
I think of same thing of nuevo/neo tango, I really like the concept of it but I think one needs to be really good at base tango before diving into it otherwise the quality of the movement just isn’t there. You can do a fusion of dances if you can dance both well. You don’t need a workshop for that. Those who attend this kind of workshops usually can’t dance their primary dance well and the other dance is completely unknown to them.
Zouk leaders hardly move their legs. And as you rightly pointed out it is an upper body danced in in a spot. Yes I know spot moves but it is as much a stationary dance as bachata.

I can only partially confirm this. I took a beginners course in zouk when tango was banned during the lockdown...Those who attend this kind of workshops usually can’t dance their primary dance well and the other dance is completely unknown to them..
