 With Pygmalion as my inspiration for this thread  do you have any favourite subjects to Google, other than dance  Is there anything that you have found on the internet/Google that made you think - Wow! Why didn't we have this technology so widely availabe 10/15 years ago?

Do you even remember a time before "Google" I remember using Yahoo and getting frustrated, yet thinking it was the "best thing since sliced bread". And now  it has been on the backbenches for so long

Truthfully, I google pretty much everything these days. I started out with a few specific topics, but now, google is my first line of defense, whenevr I have a question.

Have you ever googled yourself? Pretty enlightening.

Have I ever googled myself? As in, have I googled or entered my name into google and waited with baited breathe to see what came up

I use Google all the time  Thank goodness you don't have to pay per search  I would have to put my unborn children, who have yet to be conceived :!: out to work already

I use google quite a bit. I've heard of quite a few other useful search engines and have a list of them on my home pc. I plan to investigate them in the future, but for now google seems to work fine so I haven't bothered exploring other options. :)

Just tried. Got 397 hits for my real name and 493 hits for MacMoto. I didn't know it was a real name...

Same here. I got tons of people with my name, and I actually found a couple references to the real me. My home owners association activities, a couple papers I co-authored. Pretty fun, huh?

I have done Googled my name and various members of my family. It is spooky when you get some of these "family tree" websites, the name is there (first name and surname of course  ) and the date of birth is something like 1875!

I have Google Advanced set as my internet home page.

I used to have Google as my home page too, but now I've got the Google tool bar installed on every PC I use so it's permanently at hand.

 grrrr! I don't have access on this computer to install things. Oh well, maybe I can charm our network administrator into doing it for me. LOL Thanks anyway y'all! :D

While we are on the subject of Googling self, a friend of mine (who didn't have my e-mail address) actually Googled me......and guess where he found me....?

Right here at DF  !

Apparantly my posts reflected my personality so well, it just couldn't be anyone else   ........so I was told.
