I was intrigued to see that there are Grand Slam Junior events slated for OSB in both latin and standard styles, the latin starting from a first round and the standard from a QF.
I was talking this over with a friend, however, and she cast doubt on whether these were real "Grand Slam" events, whether that isn't a WDSF term, etc. I was not sure what the correct answer was there. Could anyone help cast light on what Grand Slam means in this context? [I will fully admit that I have not followed every scrap of the WDF vs. WDSF squabble.]
I'm pretty excited to see these events, and it seems clear from the registration form that international competitors are welcome (whereas I think most of OSB is closed to North America, though perhaps I am wrong). I hope they are great events!
