Great On1 Dancer

Holy cow. Good for him, and good for her... she's so gracious and having so much fun. He looks like a really good lead, actually :) Now there's inspiration.

I have a friend who had his leg amputated, and whilst he is more outgoing than he used to be (it happened 18 years ago) there still are so many things he won’t do because he feels embarrassed about his disability.

I’m not being condescending – these dancers genuinely look good, he must have an awesome lead to compensate for his lack of mobility.

Puts my lack of motivation and petty frustrations to shame.

I'd love to dance with him! He looks like he has a good lead---and his timing is great! Makes my complaining about my spinning look...well, petty.

Wow... the timing drifts around a lot, but it must be strange for the follower to have to put in the back & forward herself. There's a one-armed guy in England who leads great-looking cuban stuff, but I can't even begin to think how I would manage one-legged!
Not really--one of my instructors does a lot of open shines anyway--and I'm one of those sneaky followers who can't stand to be off beat..so I often nudge the dance back towards the light! I was looking at his upper body as well...his timing looked good to me. Anyway, I hate to take this thread off topic for a second..but I love that song. What is the name of it again?

I like this song to listen to but I have a really hard time dancing to this song musically. There are so many breaks it is impossible to make it look nice (at least for me). Does anyone have suggestions for what to or a link to a two-legged dancer dancing this song? (this clip is really inspirational though ! )

my favorite song to dance to! barretto!

yeah the breaks.. i know they're coming and how long they last, so i try to work with them, with various degrees of success.. but i just love ray barretto, i'd dance to him hitting a tin can.
