Guy or girl instructor for one-on-one?

I'm a guy and am interested in hiring a salsa instructor for one-on-one training. Am I better off hiring a guy or a girl? I have taken a handful of group lessons but am still a beginner.

Also, if anybody can recommend any instructors in Seattle, I'm all ears!

How comfortable are you dancing with a guy? To learn the techniques for a leader, sooner or later you have to work with a male teacher. But a female instructor could take you a long way.

It is more important to find an instructor that works well for you. Not whether the instructor is male or female.

The best solution.. find a lady who is fairly competant at your level and take a lesson as a couple ( you pay the cost, explaining your goal )..

As a coach, i find it much easier in the early stages, to define the deficiencies, and get feed back from the Partner..

Definitely a guy.
