well first whenever i went dancing (school social) i notice that most of guys and my friends are...... not good at dancing without partner (girls can dance really really good even without partner they just need to move their hips and raise their hand and man do they look good and can turn on guys so damn easy but us guys at school really trying to dance to turn girls on but...!) and im sure that most guys dance style is not like that right? ummmm are they more like moving hands only?...... i really dunno and i would like to learn a few thing on dancing without partner.... any tips?

Why not? Practice your shines when partner dancing and you'll be fine. In some respects it is a matter of moving confidently. Also, look at dance videos and see how people move in them while dancing solo. Hope this helps. :)

Sagitta's suggestions are spot on, but don't forget it depends on what style you're dancing. I assume you're talking club dancing or social (non-ballroom/salsa etc) dancing and that lends itself to solo dancing much better, megaproto.

Take a peek at video clips if you can't/don't want to do lessons. The more dancing you see/do, the more confident you'll be dancing solo and also improvising!

sorry for asking (such a newbies XD!!) shines is footwork right? what you do with them? move around heaps with them?      ( i have no idea whatsoever )

Shines are solo dancing though ideally you are still visually connected with your partner. You can pretty much do anything you want, though if you're a beginner, just do basic steps or freestyle it like
