I don't know about that whole food hell thing. :wink: There are those who'd argue that Allentown, where I used to live, and that alex has visited many times, is food hell. But there are pockets of grooviness.

Have you tried the cheesesteak place behind the Lehigh Valley mall, btw? What the heck was it called? I forgot. I'll google it. Closest I've ever come to an authentic Philly cheesesteak outside of South Philly. They use the right rolls.

And then there's that place near the community college, in Schenksville (sp?) Super stromboli.

Just sayin.
 
pretty sure that jalex would view anything that makes one contemplate taking a low dose aspirin afterwards to be food hell...anything in which the grease stain on the plate is substantial
 
In that case, I guess cheesesteaks are out. If it weren't for the farmer's market, then, Allentown would be pretty much be a wash. I have to say that the farmer's market is a bright spot.. :-D
