Help Finding Orange Technique Book

Hello, I’m new to DF and thought I’d introduce myself. I learned to dance when I was wee but never quite took to it until I started ballroom almost five years ago. From then I found great joy in it and have become particularly interested in technique.

I’ve started this account because I recently met a lad on a train from Edinburgh who had a big orange book about ballroom dance technique. We got chatting and he showed me the chapter on CBM and it was mental. I took a picture of one of the diagrams so I could read it again later but that’s the only piece of it I have. I want to buy a copy but I can’t find one. I remember he said the book was new. I am hoping someone here might know where I could find it. Cheers.

There is a relatively recent book, "The Art and Technique of Ballroom Dancing," by Rudi Trautz. It is more yellow than orange though. There is also "Technique of Ballroom Dancing" by Guy Howard, which has had "orangish versions" throughout history (it is a much older book, but has some recent editions). Both books should be available through DSI-London store.

I came across those books during my search but neither of them are the book I’m looking for. Can you think of any other books, or somewhere else I could look? I believe I’m having trouble finding it because it’s so new.

Alas, this seems to be the extent of my literacy, at least within that particular part of spectrum...

Buongiorno Boogieman! I might have the book that matches your recount. My copy is a gift from a friend when I went to visit her in America last year. I have not seen it here in Italy. My friends want to get a copy too. It is heavy and thick about 2.5 cm. like a uni textbook. It is like reading a science book. Definitely, it is the most useful book I’ve read and made my dancing improve very much (yes, very helpful the CBM chapter). How did your friend on the train get the book? Do you know? My friend said my book is a reviewer copy? something like that. It has not been published yet this may be why you cannot find it online. ciao.

Can you post a photo of the page explaining CBM for us to see what it is about ?
Have yet to see a dance book that is indeed really useful for learning ...

Do you have the author or title?

Yes, that sounds like the book all right! No wonder I couldn’t find it online. Can you tell me the title or post a picture of one of the pages?

Very sorry this is late post. I am vacation camping this month. Yes, here are photos of the CBM you ask. The title on the book is Master Ballroom Dance Technique, Volume One, Individual Technique. I also placed a photo of the cover. I will post again when I have internet and I have more time. ciao

The only reference I can find to that book is from an IndieGoGo Campaign... I can't post a link since I only have 35 posts though.
