ok, all of you viewing this. I've made you laugh, I've made you cry, I've brought silly smiles to those who expected it least...now I need your input.
35th wedding anniversay is almost upon me. Thoughts for a weekend trip? That does not bust the wallet! Is this cheesey? Go to DelMar RaceTrack outside of San Diego, take private tour with Jockey of horses in the morning workout and such, lunch, day at races and infield (DelMar is goregous in the summer), dinner. Premise? Something we've never ever done That does not involve DH with anything his replaced knees can't do, or me inside of a ballroom or with grandchildren (BTW, our original honeymoon was 2 nights in San Diego between College Summer School sessions immediately after he was out of the service). So, is this cheesy?
Better ideas? Help? - I'm all ears. (I rode cow ponies in my younger life - but I've never been to an actual thoroughbred race track).

3wishes, this all sounds great! I know beautiful Del Mar firsthand, and it is a very special place for me. I love your ideas! :)

Sounds great to me. Parents did similar visit to Arlington Racetrack here for something (maybe an anniversary) a year or two and had a great day, even though mom has no interest in horses/racing

3wishes...I am sure that over the many years the two of you have created, you know each other best.....and it will be a lovely day...

Mahalo All. I cannot out-do what he surprised me with for our 30th. No way.
But I thought A pitch-fork, big red bow, rubber boots and hay - in the back of his truck - would throw him off - then wella - Del Mar. So cheesy it's not - a revisit to how we started it is.
