Help on fixing a smooth dress?

Hi. I bought a custom smooth dress, but the chest area is far too big on me. I tried shortening the straps, which helped a little but not enough. What can I put in the chest so that I won't have any wardrobe malfunctions dancing?

Why don't you just have the chest area altered and take it in?

I believe socks are traditional.

I"ve had similar situations and i've changed the bra cups and then tightened the side seams in the upper body (guess this depends on the gown). I'll pick off the stones, sew, then re-glue them. I've broken many needles trying to sew around stones when I was lazy hahaha.

yep, stones plus sewing needle = disaster
