HELP! Time is ticking away

I searched the web for help but it takes a lot of time to dig through everything. I found this site and really hope that you guys can help me.So pretty much I dont know how to dance... and prom is only hours away. Its senior year so I wana go to the prom and have fun...I wana dance but dont know how to. I dont want to go there and stand there looking awkward. Could you guys help me with some basic dance steps, instructions, tips?

It is a matter of how one conducts oneself. Knowing to dance is not an issue. I see many people who are out on the dance floor, with someone at a dance, and they have a good time. they have a good time because they pay attention to each other and enjoy themselves, rtaher than worrying about dancing. This is my advice to you. You don't ahve time to "learn to dance" so just go have fun.
