Hi, I really need help. I’ve started to dance more seriously (practice/lessons every day for the past 6 months) and this is what my brand new dance shoe looks only after 3 days of dancing in them. Mostly the right shoe. I’ve tried different brands, IDS, ray rose, JC and same thing happened. these were supposed to be my competition shoes but I decided to wear them for a few days before the competition to get used to them and now don’t know what to do. Does anyone else have this problem? This has never happened to me before. Is there a way to protect the satin and prevent this from happening , or repair this damage somehow? TIA

I mean, that happens when dancing with a partner—your feet brush against one another.

Check your brush on your spin turns. This wear pattern could happen if you’re artificially brushing your right toe to the left foot, as opposed to just allowing your right leg to swing in and back out naturally.
