Holiday Dance Classic 2014

I'm now only planning for Latin, unless I can get my knee in working order. Then, I'll be dancing Standard too.

For anyone who's going to be there, I'll be in and out of the ballroom all five days. If you see me, please come by and say hi! Or, let me know when your heats are, and I'll be sure to be there to cheer. :)

Seems like this will be a big one, I have had many requests for gowns for this event, more than for Ohio. Not that it's this indicative but Holiday ball keeps being mentioned by everyone that's talking to me for the last 2 months.

Cold weather in the northeast generally makes us want to travel! I was eyeballing this comp, but unfortunately I just can't work it into my schedule. Things lighten up significantly for me in January, and then by a LOT in the beginning of June.

There's a first for everything. On my way to Holiday....

CAB DRIVER: So, where are you flying in from?
ME: Baltimore.
CAB DRIVER: Are you a cowgirl?
ME: I'm sorry? [Thinking I must have misheard, as neither my appearance nor the mention of "Baltimore" typically trigger that response.]

Turns out the really big event in town is a rodeo competition. I have never been to Holiday before, so this was news to me!

My am partner is dancing pro am at Holiday, and I hear that it is big and super well organized this year. Does that match others' experience? I'm trying to figure out my comps for next year...
