First, a brief hello. I’ve been reading the forum for a while, and finding it very helpful (not to mention entertaining at times ...).
I’m a beginner, currently three months in to a mix of private and group lessons (averaging around three lessons a week), focusing on quality of movement over racking up figures - though recognising that learning and practicing figures does provide new insights into the fundamentals of pivoting.
My girlfriend has been dancing for six years, and dances at an advanced level, so I have quite some work to do!
We’re planning a trip to BA in November, by which point I’ll be 14 months in, so hopefully able to at least avoid homicide charges while attending milongas there. Part of the idea of planning the trip now is to provide me with an ambitious goal of being able to lead at least basic dances there, but if nothing else it will be an opportunity to observe and enjoy the atmosphere.
I’ll need to work some of the time while there, which means reliable Internet and power.
I gather power outages are a thing. Does anyone know which central hotels have their own generators and reliable WiFi? (Attending a WeWork type place would be plan B, but as I’m not a morning person and will need to start work at 8am local time, working from my hotel room is strongly preferred.)
