Dance styles that is....

It can be any combination of stayles/training. Enquiring minds and all that....

By styles, I mean *individual* dances ie Mambo, Samba, Waltz, Ballet, etc. NOT "International Latin" or "American Smooth". Just wante to clear that up.

Exactly. IMNSHO, each individual dance has a style that is unique to it alone. So there ya go.

American Rhythm (5): Rumba, Cha Cha, Bolero, Swing, Mambo

International Standard (5): Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, V. Waltz

International Latin (5): Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive

Other (5): Hustle, West Coast Swing, Salsa, Merengue, Two-Step

My math says that's 24. :shock:

Disclaimer: These are dances that I know. I never said I did any particular dance well or better than any other dance. I just wanted that to be clear. :wink:

Off top but a question for Purr: isn't it difficult doing both smooth & standard? They're so similar don't you sometimes get them mixed up??

okay, i was not counting every ballroom dance for itself. (waltz, viennese waltz, foxtrott, discofox)

and if oyu count non partner dancing, i do Ska -dancing (also known as skanking), and under swing i put together: charleston, 20s charleston, lindy, shag, ecs. so if you count those all together: 10
