How to build a tango community?

It's still a work in progress. When it's not snowing out, my weekly practica is averaging 6 people.
For a practica, that's good going.

it's weird, but you get more people willing to pay lots of money for a class, than you will offering a cheap (or even free) practica session.

Lastly, there are a couple different factions at one of the local colleges who are running milongas. Of course, they can't work together, or co-ordinate things
How shocking and totally unexpected.

of course! whether to dance at the People of Judea's Milonga, or the Judean People's Milonga or Milonga of the Blind Chickens of Judea

It's still a work in progress. When it's not snowing out, my weekly practica is averaging 6 people. I also will be running a beginners class in a couple weeks, through the city's adult education program (assuming enough people register for it). Lastly, there are a couple different factions at one of the local colleges who are running milongas. Of course, they can't work together, or co-ordinate things (and they occasionally have issues finding a location for them).

My wife and I took our first tango class at the local community centre. Several different dance classes are offered there, and they all seem to be well attended. Hope that works out for you.

I think I went to that one last week.

Had to post to let you know that this a) had me fall off my 4" comme il faut's laughing and b) saved my sanity by putting me in the best mood ever! Thanks:friend:
