I am just starting to get into ballroom dance

Like I said, I have just got into ballroom dance, and I am looking for a good place, preferably some exercises so I can get in a better condition to start. Does anyone have any tips

Not knowing anything about your current physical condition I think it would be irresponsible to propose an exercise plan. If you are concerned about your condition going into ballroom dance, you should probably follow the standard advice before starting a new physical regimen: Check with your doctor.

If you think it is safe to dance, walking might be a good place to build condition. After all, many of the dances require about the same level of effort at the beginning level. Then you can evaluate any specific areas that need work.

I agree with Greybeard. If you're not sure you are healthy enough to start a walking program, talk with your doctor first.

If you know you're healthy enough to start a walking program, start there. You can gradually increase distance and/or speed of your walks over time. No need to push it too hard to get ready for beginner ballroom at the start.

If you're also agile enough to safely try a few other things, you could try walking backwards a little bit (somewhere safe, where you won't run into people or things, or trip over hazards) and add some side steps as well to get your muscles used to moving in different directions.

If you're already healthy and agile enough that a walking program sounds very silly and basic, then just go get started in ballroom. You can add exercises as you go along as needed.

Have fun (pandemic permitting) and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the advice, ballroom dance is the first thing I felt passionate and committed to do, even tough I have only stumbled onto a couple days ago. I already am really used to stepping side to side, and backwards. But that's about it.
