I'm looking at Sacadas...

It's funny, when doing a giro CCW., there is only one of these that I do (unless experimenting or something). I use a side step (on my right foot) to sacada her side step. However when going C.W, maybe 4 or 5. I'll sacada either her front, and/or the side step that follows, but normally I'll use a front step.
Hmmm, then maybe the CW direction really does offer more opps.!...That's what my Cl.Emb. YouTube research is pointing to.
I got a feeling that Next Tuesday I do several Sacadas..certainly this thread is keeping me pumped up.:friend:

No bonus points for me, as I'm too lazy to figure out how many would break the embrace. I'm still trying to get good at the easy ones.

Me too :p

It was a mostly rhetorical question : I cant remember most of them myself. I'll have a look for the bit of paper I wrote it all down on. And see if I can make head or tail of it now

On paper I think you'll see the same opportunities going either CW or CCW. Due to the configuration of the couple, the sacadas going CW are much easier to do.

I remember also that some of the sacadas required breaking of the embrace. Bonus points if you can tell me how many

Hmm, you'd have to define "breaking the embrace" first. :) Do you mean breaking contact at the chest? Or moving such that the torsos are no longer parallel?

If it's the latter, I think most of the back sacadas would qualify. Unless you have no bones in your body. :D

.. i think that I got my CW, CCW reference backwards (above)..I don't think in terms of CW,CCW but rather to the 'open' or 'closed' side...my habit already.

By definition (mine and others) 'parallel torsos' do not an embrace make.
Heart connection (at the chest) is the embrace.

is that the same as 'nearside' and 'offside' in which case the offside rule applies.

:applause:OK...after spending hours each day watching youtube videos of the best sacadas I could find and also every class on the subject, I have come to a watershed moment!
I am practising the sacada as revealed to me through this investigation....and what I've
found is that THE thing to concentrate on is the big, fat axis that I provide (must) for the muhjer and that I disassociate the top from the bottom of my beautiful body as I step into her crouch (the bottom) with one foot while I turn and lead her (upper) at the same time..... I feel that those who are masters of this move will know what I'm talking about and others will simply count how many sacadas can fit on the head of a pin.:cool::!::-(

You try to step near the leg that "goes in" sacada.
