advice Pacion? hmmm......I'd say breathe!! lots of breathing!!
seriously? in terms of what I wore.....well, since I NOW see the need to actually buy 'salsa-wear', I made due with black dress pants (a little wide at the ankles), a tan halter top (tied rather than looped at the neck) and black heels (not too high). I don't wear jewellry or makeup but I made do with cleansing face cloths lol (keep the face looking cool and all

) and lip gloss (the shiny kind).....my hair is rope twisted (braids) so I let it out.
We did one salsa song and one merengue song.....to tell you the names of the songs right now...I cannot do

sorry...can't remember them to be honest.
I
NOW know that I need to get the proper clothing for performances such as this and I am gonna be keeping that in mind whenever I get around to shopping.......I also now know that the
ONLY way to do a proper performance outside of lots of practice and working on timing, is to be
VERY comfortable with your partner and trust that they wont let you fall....because at one point in the salsa dance we were doing I got and read the wrong signal for a dip (that did not exist) and almost fell

thankfully I didn't follow through with the dip and that's what saved me....so that is something I would advise any dancer to do: even if you get a signal to do a certain move....don't go into yourself...allow yourself to be
GUIDED into it......even though I had felt the signal that said he was gonna dip me.....he didn't guide me into a dip so we were able to turn my almost fall into a new move
And last but not least.......have
FUN!!! I was very nervous about it but I didn't let it show.....I just had
FUN!!!
