Tonights challenge is :?: Frozen Green Peas :?:

Bobby Flay and Chef Morou (what a cutie! )

Peas, I mean I like peas but for me, they become less appetizing after the third bite. Would be interesting to see the judges reactions. Who's the first to make split pea soup, I wonder.

Okay, the interesting on the menu so far:
Chef Morou
Green Pea Popsicles dipped in chocolate?
Green Pea Tapioca Pudding
Peas Benjas (sp) with powdered sugar

  :nope:

Chef Flay
ding! ding! ding! Pea soup on the menu

hurl...when I was a little girl and mom made peas....I would leave about an inch of milk in my glass and then spit my peas into the glass...b/c my parents made you eat everything on your plate before you could get up...I loathe peas

That never worked on me. I'ld fall asleep at the table before I'll touch nasty cauliflower. Peas thou I could deal with.

there was also the feed the dog while they weren't looking trick, or the stuff the food in your slipper and say you have to go to the bath room then flush it trick...(only worked once they left the table though)...lima beans, brussel sprouts, salmon, peas, even mashed potatoes...tended to meet this fate

point well taken...how often does the show air anyway? and at what time?
Sunday 9:00pm EST on Food Network. It's often run throughout the week as well in case you missed the new show on the weekend. :)

Try feeding them to the kids still frozen, more fun that way.

As for today, cooked up nice with a few baby onions....
ya know...i bet they wouldbe tolerable as long as they were so frozen there was no taste

Yes! Yes! Something more interesting than green peas! I miss this one last week. Caught the last 30 minutes tonight.. Kat Cora vs. Chef Scheib in Battle Dungeonous Crab. I was about to start worrying about this show. For a while there it was Bobby Flay vs. well, everybody.

Scheib
Crab Parfait
Spiced Crab Sweet Potato Soup
Crab Cake with Hot Fruit Salad
Crab Claw Salad
Crab Bisteeya (Crab Dessert) 8)
(Cool that this chef brought his presentation dishes with him)

Cora
Crab Tian (mouse made with green apples and champagne)
Crab Cake Sandwich (looks like she got him there)
Basque Crab (Dish from Spain?)
Down and Dirty Crab (Roasted and a bit dry noted by one judge)
Japanese Custard Crab (Not the exact name, itty bitty fried whole crab)

Scheib was the challenger's name. He won by 6 points and heavy in the taste category. I think the Japanese Custard lost it for her. Judges didn't seem to like those as much as her other dishes. :(

It's Douglas vs. Morimoto tonight. :D (Watching in between Meerkat Manor marathon)
Tonight's theme ingredient is Salmon. Yummy! :)

Douglas is making a Salmon and beet Sorbet.
