I wasn't going to go, but since I'm probably going to the NC Salsa Festival the weekend before, I am tossing the idea around.
Is anyone going to the DC Salsa Congress this year?

tj, the nc salsa festival is being held from August 8-10th. Sounds like quite a lineup (Yamulee, Masacote, and more). I like these types of events since they're more intimate than a congress. Here's a link: http://ncsalsafestival.com/

Unfortunately, no.
I just spent the past two weeks out of town, so I've sorta blown my travel budget for now.But jeez, Ms. Mayanempire gets to go to all the congresses. She recently posted a nice photo from Puerto Rico...

Speaking of upcoming events, I've been talking up the Chi-town congress to several friends, and it looks like my peer pressure--I mean positive influence is having some effect! It's the weekend before Flava, if I am not mistaken!

As was I, NL. Have a blast big enough for both of us! Joby Brava and Lucy Lu will be representing for the ladies of Atlanta. And don't worry about the Chi-Flava conflict--we moved the last Flava Invasion to April, so your problem is solved! Go do it big in Chi-town and then come party with us in the ATL in April!
Keep me updated on your other travels and, hopefully, you and I can catch up with one another soon.
