With anything there can be overzealous behaviour. Yet if the consequenses are small than the terms of calling it too much may be questionable. So is there such a thing as a danceaholic?

Erm...how about most of the DF membership? Most of us are seriously addicted!

Seriously, yes, there are danceaholics, I myself have pushed my love of dancing a little too much at time, but, so far, I've heard of people taking second mortgages on their homes to pay for lessons and selling second cars, I even know of one guy who left his job so that he could dance all day ... and then there are folk like me who dance until my feet feel as though they're about to break. :)

And though I'm talking fairy light-heartedly about all these instances, being a danceaholic stops being a joke when you start to hurt yourself or others or jeapordise your work. I've heard of people taking steroids to improve their stamina (See here) and dancing when they're injured just because they're totally addicted. I've also heard of people who leave work in the middle of the day to do dance lessons, but make it look like they were on the road or some such.

I'm actually redrawing on the advance payments I have made on my mortgage to pay for my dance lessons in advance so that I can get 20% back in free lessons.

Do I qualify????
