Largest Dance Competitions in the United States

Hi, In terms of number of individual competitors the MAC and USA Dance Nationals, would rank up there. Both competitions this past year had over 1000 individual competitors making about 500 district couples. There are a few people who dance with 2 different partners and so the number is slightly below 500 couples.
 
I can say on the west coast we are trying to 'grow' the pro/am comps, but most of them have a total of one year under their belt so far, and are not attracting many beyond the local area. I did one comp and was completely uncontested in every event. Another I did had 1-2 competitors in only half.

I was thinking Montreal and Toronto might be good options. More so than the West Coast for sure.
