Less Interest in DWTS?

Is the Dance-Forums community less interested in DWTS than during previous seasons :?:

There seems to be less folks around when the show is being broadcast, although perhaps folks are still watching.

Last season most of the live show chat went to an actual chatroom (at MOIB I think.) So they're still watching, just not chatting in the thread.:)

I've actually been watching it, but my schedule is so busy right now that it's hard for me to get on the computer or to get home on time to watch the show for that matter. But I must say that I'm really impressed by the ladies this season! I truly believe that one of them will go home with the win. However, I enjoy everyone. It seems as though they are all having fun. Some are better than others of course, but I must say that I enjoy watching them all.;)

I have to tape it and watch it when I get home from lessons, and by that point it's really too late for me to be on-line much.

The two-hour long show last night was kind of a drag. I liked it better when it was a friendly sweet funny one-hour show.

So I let my TiVo tape it all, and then skipped through everything but the actual dancing and judge's comments. By the time I was done I didn't feel like sitting around and talking about it.

I wonder if these 2-hour shows will eventually be the downfall of DWTS?

I either watch a tape and zoom the chit-chat and commercials or I watch on abc.com - limited commercials and I can watch from/to any point.

I think the two hour shows have too much filler in them.

i am definitely not as into dwts as i was when it first aired. gosh i remember running home from wherever it is i was just to watch now i just sorta force myself to watch because i love the dances, not so much the actual show. is that weird?
any way..

i agree with spratt, the ladies are definitely kicking butt this season.
i love love love kristi.. and i adore prisicilla (she needs to tone down with the cosmetic surgery) but she is a good dancer, relatively speaking. as far as the guys go, i love mario. it would be great to see louis or karina win a trophy for once. they are my favorite pros on the show. im still confused as to what happened with max... .... ... but i hope that kristi takes the disco ball home this season!

I have lost interest in the show, and I won't be watching it this season.

I posted this in another thread, but thought I would copy it over.

The show is on Monday night. Generally, I have a lesson (sometimes two) and an advanced group class. By the time I get home, the show's over. I suppose could tape the show and watch it later, but I haven't.

I watched the show every other season. There was a lot of good dancing. But, there was a lot of bad dancing, that I could have done just as well without seeing. Also, I don't like longer format - there is just too much filler and commercials. And, there was too much repeat footage. Anything really good, or really bad, on the Monday show is rebroadcast on the results show. Then, you see it all over again on the finale show, when they recap the season.

I know its early in the season but I don't think it is as deep with talent (the stars) as it has been the past few seasons. By the way, when is Tony Dovolani gonna get a break and have some talent that he could work with?

I agree, and I think that the marketing around DWTS has lessened from the other seasons too, as though the network expects that people will naturally seek it out by now, and don't have to be convinced to watch.

Because the beautiful athlete with tons of dance experience Stacy Keibler wasn't talented enough?

I dont have internet at home anymore so I can't post about the show, though I do watch it. Not having internet is one of the things I am doing to help me be able to afford lessons and comps. Which is both :( and :D at the same time, for obvious reasons. lol.

YES! I can watch a 2 hour DWTS in well under an hour. A results show (and I like watching the eliminations) in under 15 minutes. Of course, I'm also a girl that can watch the top 12 on American Idol's performance night in under 15 minutes. The filler stuff kills me! I can't imagine having to watch this stuff live!
