Lessons in Los Angeles?

Does anybody happen to know of an instructor in the Los Angeles area for the two-step and other western dances? I'm new to this music, and really want to learn. I have the Shaun Trautman dvd, and if somebody has some other video that they recommend that would be great, but I really would love to find a private instructor for some lessons, if possible.
Thanks!

Refer to the "this week" link at ocdance.com . Nancy Lester does a good job of listing just about everything dance-related that's going on in LA, Orange, and other surrounding counties.

"LA" covers a lot of territory; which area are you mainly interested in? I'm primarily OC myself, never wandering into LA without my Thomas Bros. Most recommendations I could make would be OC-centric. The good news appears to be that the amount of instruction in country dances is increasing.

One thing you could do would be to visit country venues for leads. In the eastern part of the county are Cowboy Country and (I think it's still there) Wild Horse in West Covina. I think Louis Herrera teaches at CC, though it's been a while and I've lost track of him. Of course I would recommend Jack Berard, but he lives in South Orange County.

Kind of a strange place to put this, but couldn't anything closer...

New gal at Bushwhackers told me she is from Orange County and didn't know how much she missed her country western dancing until she stopped by the place the other night.
She told me about a newly opened place called the Ranch in Anaheim.
I thought it was interesting that she mentioned without prompting that they do not let people stand in the aisles. Looks like they have a pretty strict dress code, too, etc (something I wouldn't mind at Bushwhackers now that I think about it)

Anyone been there?

I know for example that there are instructors at both Avante Gard and Atomic in the Irvine area that can teach Two Step. When you say "other western dances", I haven't seen much of those except West Coast Swing. I can't remember seeing anyone doing Cowboy Cha Cha or Polka for example.

I'm currently looking for a good go go dancing studio in los angeles, preferentially in Encino/Sherman Oaks/Northridge/Studio City areas. I will be very appreciated if anyone could recommend me a studio in this area ^_^
Thank you

Just looked at a 25 page color brochure (on line) for the sound system at the Ranch. I was mighty impressed.
NO ONE has been there?
