Let's talk about cancellation policy

That's what I am planning to say to my pro when I see him next time: let's talk about cancellation policy.
Do you have such policy with your teachers/students? I rarely cancel, and when I do, it's usually something serious, like emergency room visits for myself or family members. He, on the other hand, cancels often with vague excuses of being tied up or just no excuses at all.

As I said, I feel we need to talk... Any advice on how to approach this conversation?

I wish you luck with your talk. The above seems like a good start.
In my experience, some teachers are very professional about schedules, while others are quite causal.
Do you have other teachers available?

Mine went something like: "Constantly changing schedules are a big source of stress for me, and it makes dancing less fun. I work much better on a structured plan; that's how you'll see my best dancing (and best moods). Can we agree to find standing lesson times that work for us both, and to give each other as much notice as possible when things do need to change?"

The above was to address being scheduled all over the map, not really late cancellations, but a similar approach might work.
