Hi, This question has probably been posted before but I couldn't find any previous threads. I am going to live in London and want to continue dancing, does anyone know of any good dance studios/instructors in London? Thanks.:D

Maybe do a search on "London" and "lessons" on the forums and see what comes up? I used that as a way to see where the good teachers and cool places to dance are in my own city and came up with some great stuff.

Forum members really know their stuff here.

Latin or Standard ?.. and , very important , solo or with partner ?... and what part of Ldn ?

Thanks for all the advice. Sorry, just realised I wasn't very specific with my question!! I want to do both standard & latin, am a beginner but have had a few lessons mainly latin and mostly private, don't have a partner. Am keen to continue with private mainly, mixed with some group lessons. Will try another search! :D

Solo lessons are not taught by all schools. You still didnt say which part of the area you will be in .

The schools in North London for such can be at least an hour away if you are residing in the South .

I would suggest class work to begin, and again, many schools do not take singles.

that's what I heard from my European friends who visit England for lessons often:

Standard: Cheam or Starlight

Latin: Semley (not sure about spelling though)

Cheam is a small town.. starlight is a school

again.. it depends on where you live.. there are numerous schools all over the greater London area.. some will take singles.. some wont.... a ph. call will resolve the problem . ( I do take singles in all my classes, but the distance is too far )

Cheam is a school, I've been there. John wood, Kenny/Marion Welch teach there. A great studio for standard. Marcus/Karen Hilton teach in Starlight.
I'm darn sure (had to look up train schedules in the middle of the night) that the studio is Dance Options (http://www. danceoptions.com/) and it is in the town (borough...whatever suburbs are called in England) of Cheam.
