I brought Ray Rose Latin shoes( Blizzard )and at first they where the perfect shoe for about a month but the material has streched and my foot slips around and i can't get any grip i got these shoes because they were for really narrow feet which i have:mad: lol anyways getting to the point i have a comp in a week and my dance teacher told me i hav 2 get some new shoes as soon a possible! So does anyone know of a good shoe 4 really really slim feet or a brand thats is known for skinny feet if it exsists at the moment i don't care how much they cost!

Thanks for any help im just freaking out a lil bit

all shoes stretch...I too have narrow feet (why on earth isn't the rest of me narrow????)...certain brands do come in narrow but, in the interim, hockey tape, which is clear, is a great way to keep the shoes on your feet

moondance, you can try putting a metatarsal pad in the shoe. That will take up room in the shoe, making the straps a bit tighter (and perhaps give you some support). Be careful what type you put in, you'll still want to be able to feel the floor.

The other thing is if you normally wear the strap around your ankle, try using it under your foot's arch and crossed over the top. For me it helps keep the shoe secure to the foot (and then it doesn't matter if the front straps are slightly loose).

some vendors do have the International Narrow at comps.. you could contact the vendors at that comp and make sure they bring your size... or as suggested, try adding some pads. Fishnets could help you make your foot a little wider

Thank you! ok im going to try all of your ideas see which one works best for me. The funny thing is Latingal i do wear the straps under my foot and the front part of my foot just slips around side to side nd back and forwards really annoying i new they where going to strech maybe im just going to have to get shoes that are to tight then the will losens to be perfect what do u think? or is thats stupid!

Moondance, the Blizzard syles of RR doesn't have leather backing on the straps, from what I remember. These will stretch out faster than the other styles. I'd go with something like the Earthquate style, which is what I wear. I have narrow feet as well and these worked out much better for me.

I originally bought the Monsoon style and they were way too big for my narrow foot.

I, too, have a stretched Ray Rose shoes (Monsoon, I believe). Is it something that a (skilled) local shoe repair shop can take care of?

Not stupid at all, but hard to control.

I have never worn the satin reinforced straps, only the leather reinforced ones. And I have had some stretching but not so much that the shoe no longer fits properly. But I have wide feet.

I hope the pad method or taking it to the shoe shop will help!

Thats a good idea but will the straps stretch out again after i had them altered? If so i will have to get some new dances shoes in the end but for the comp the ideas perfect if i can get it done in time! :D

I too have narrow feet. I make sure I get a style that buckles on the top of the foot.(for latin only obviously) that way as the shoe stretches I just tighten the buckle. usually start on the tightest one and then have to punch new holes. I currently get Elegance shoes- forget the particular shoe- in narrow.

Ugh. My shoes have stretched too. I thought I was a size 8 til I went shopping for dance shoes. Got a 7 in those. And now those are lose. Pluh.

The last pair of latin shoes I bought (which granted was a long time ago), I bought them 1/2 size too small. I then taped up my toes with medical tape everywhere it felt like the shoes would rub or needed to stretch. I danced in them like that for an hour, and then they were perfect.

So although the first hour was painful, I made it out with no blisters (thanks to the tape), and then I had a pair of shoes that fit perfectly. They were not only stretched to the size of my feet, but they were molded to the shape of my feet as well. Fit like a glove.

When you know a pair of shoes is going to stretch, you just have to start with a smaller size and tough it out. Or if that is too unappealing, I imagine you could have the shoes stretched before you wear them.
