Medal tests cost

Up until recently, I have never known about the existence of medal tests for students as a way to measure progress... (I was always part of the competitive circle)....

I was wondering if anyone knew of the costs associated with these tests?
Do we pay one bulk amount for the examiner's day?
Do we pay for how many tests he/she will do?
And what are the rough costs if anybody know

thanks

Examiners are usually brought in for a days work.

"one " dance tests are £ 7.
Daily Fees for examiners may vary with each Soc. as they may be charged arbitrarily .
A range of £ 300-- 400 would be a guide . Prof. exams differ.

I seem to remember paying 7/6 for my Junior Bronze in 1962. It has probably gone up since then.

For our American posters.. 7 shillings and six pence... about $ 2 in that time period... ( I was being paid $3 an hr teaching time.. top rate in A/M )

I don't do medal testing, but many of my friends at the studio do. Our studio brings in an ISTD examiner and charges ~$25 per dance that you test in. You only test in those dances you're ready and willing to test in. I don't believe they charge any other fees such as a daily rate, but I could be wrong on that. The studio only holds medal testing twice a year, I'm guessing it's to make sure they have enough students ready to test to make it worth the expense of bringing in the examiner.

Not to mention prices from this century. :)
Smarty pants... FWIW I really appreciate the feedback from those not of this decade or whatever. They have a lot of valuable insight and are to be respected!
total hijack I know...sorry couldn't help it.

hahah, oh, I do too, just for this particular question I figure something more up to date might help the OP more. :) Just meant prices from this century, wasn't commenting on the posters. Least, not this time. ;)

I am from the US. So yeah in dollars would be good..

Okay... when I examined in the States, my fee was a $ 300 per day minimum( 4 hrs work ), plus expenses .One can deduce from that what the teacher/studio may charge per dance, based on 8/10 dances per hr.examined.. Some even predicate exam costs on the level being taken..

Student charges may vary from studio to studio.. as I stated , here( UK ) $ 11 a single dance is current .
